ASPA 14th Annual Best Practices Conference
On February 28, 2020, Florida Asian Services attended the ASPA 14th Annual Best Practices Conference organized by American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) South Florida Chapter. The event was held from 9:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Miramar, FL.
FAS prepared Census bags, folders, flyers and goodie and dropped off to the organizer the day before the conference. At the day of the event, every attendee received program book with FAS Census bag of goodies. FAS also set up a booth for Census at the main entrance with Census promotion materials including flyers, posters, postcards, and other Census goodies for attendee to pick up and bring back to their office.
After lunch, FAS was invited to be one of the panelists on the Census panel along with representatives from Miami-Dade County, Broward County, and Palm Beach County. FAS gave basic information on Census and mainly highlighted the new development from the Census Bureau, including the operation timeline and Mobile Questionnaire Assistance. FAS encouraged attendees who have their own office to sign up as Mobile Questionnaire Assistance to help increasing Census counts at organization level.
