Polynesian Annual Cultural Festival 2020

On February 22, 2020, Florida Asian Services attended the Polynesian Annual Cultural Festival 2020 organized by Polynesian Cultural Association. The event was held from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Oakland Park, FL.

FAS set up a booth to promote Census 2020. FAS prepared Census promotional materials, including flyers, postcards, posters and goodies to educate the public on information on Census. In addition, FAS also went around all the vendor booths to build partnership on Census 2020. FAS educated them on how Census would impact their businesses and why it is important for them to support Census. FAS dropped of Census promotional materials on their tables to give away to the public and their clients.

FAS was also invited to speak during the intermission of performances on Census 2020. FAS reminded the public that Census is important, safe and easy; therefore, they should response to Census when the invitation came to their household in the coming month. FAS highlighted that it is extremely important for the parents to count their children on Census because the Census count would affect the education, school programs, and even job opportunity in the upcoming 10 years.
