CASEC Chinese Spring Festival Show 2020
On January 18, 2020, Florida Asian Services attended the CASEC Chinese Spring Festival Show 2020 organized by The Chinese Association of Science, Education and Culture of South Florida. The meeting was held from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm at Mizner Park Amphitheater at Boca Raton, FL.
FAS set up a booth for Census 2020 at the closed to the entrance to display information on Census with bilingual postcard in English and Chinese on basic information on Census. FAS also displayed the number from the previous Census in Florida to show how Census response is important to representation of different ethnicities in Florida. FAS highlighted that Census is actively hiring people and encouraged event participants with multi-language skills to apply to be Census workers. In addition, FAS also gave Chinese and English bilingual postcard to Chinese community leaders so they can share the information with their communities.
